Hey guys, i will be graduating with a degree in ELT and will have a CELTA, I am wanting to come to teach in KL, i do not have a Bed or a pgce! Just a degree in English language teaching and a celta, what are the chances of finding work? Are there any websites that recruit teacher from outside Kl, if not, is there a demand for EL Teachers and will i get a job? Like i said, International schools are out the question as i dnt have a pgce or Bed!
cheers guys! |

I'm sure you'll find a Bed in KL - just look in your guide book for cheap hotels.
You'll be fine, just do a Google for Malaysia ESL and no doubt you'll be directed to several recruitment/advertising websites.
I take it that you did the 3 year degree if you don't have the B'ed, it's still a lot more than most 'teachers' have, so no worries and if you find that you like it you can always 'upgrade' with a PGCE later.
Good Luck

Are you 26? I believe you need to be at least 26 to get a work visa. I am no expert but I landed a job and will begin teaching in July. |
