i was thinking Korea or Saudi Arabia. I would enjoy the experience either way, but i want to teach in a country where I would be able to pay on my student loans while working overseas. Some places don't pay enough to be able to pay on the loans while working. |

Look at this site, it has info on teaching at universities in Korea e.g. University of Suwon page.
I teach at university level in Japan but its much harder to get into universities here without experience and publications.
Korea seems to be much easier for university teaching jobs. A Masters seems to be more than you need for uni jobs in Korea |

Saudi Arabia will probably want you to have a few years experience overseas - teaching EFL - before hiring you. And, frankly, you'd need it.
Korea is a good place to get your feet wet - but you have just missed the hiring season and school starts . . . today.
The better jobs in Korea - will want experience also - but it is not bad to get yourself to Korea and job shop a bit. Your first job doesn't have to be what you do for the rest of your TEFL life.
What is the best way to go about it? Do you know how to teach? Have you had any training in teaching English? What will you do your first day in front of 30+ university students? Get some training - get some experience - just like any job.
You will definitely be able to pay off bills in Korea - but is also a bit of a cultural adjustment (push and shove and more).
With your qualifications - start job shopping in about two months - when the better schools start looking for the semester that starts in Sept. In the mean time, get some experience volunteering somewhere. |
