This is a great piece of writing to show how Asians and Europeans think. Try to think more like easterners, you will understand how we think and enjoy your time in Turkey.

Were it a Turkish newspaper lampooning its own countrymen in cartoon fashion, as is known from time to time, it might run:

Interpretations of a Fish Scene :

Westerners: Focus: Foreground - specific

Asians: Focus: Background - holistic

Turks: Focus: Fish - gastronomic

Quote:
Essentail Turkish - Dictionary

Balik - Bogazda rakiyla yenilen yemek tir
Fish - A meal eaten on the Bosphorous accompanied with Raki

And as for the thought of geography ... and Bilmemnestan .... ugghh ... a shudder runs down my spine ... Smile
