Any other actor/directors-turned-English-teachers out there? If you are a native speaker of English living in the Czech Republic (or nearby in Poland or Slovakia) and have any experience with theatre (acting, directing, playwriting, dramaturgy), please let me know!
I teach English and Theatre at a university and am looking for help with a project ASAP. Depending on your qualifications, this could lead to a good job, but for the moment I'm hoping you will be kind enough to volunteer your expertise (or that of someone you know). We'd cover travel, food, etc. if necessary.
Also, a theatre here recently wrote me in hopes that I could connect them with an English speaker who can act. Exactly my problem! Could you connect us with one? They were not specific about the age or type, but they used the masculine in Czech. Want to put acting in a Czech play on your resume?
Thanks in advance! |

Hey, I'm a college student soon to be ESL teacher. I'm majoring in Acting and English, and this summer I'll get gettiing my TESOL certification in Prague, and then hopefully spending July and August in Europe. If I can be any assistance to your project, I'd love to help. I've had training in character study, voice and movement, stage combat (unarmed, rapier and dagger, and quarter-staff,) directing, and technical theater. Although I have to come back to school at the end of the summer to finish college, I would be interested in learning more about your program, since I'd like to integrate my knowledge of theater into teaching. |
