I remember someone posted something a while back about this place and I was disappointed to see read that it wasn't good news. Take a look maybe through the Job information journal - it might be in there as well.

if you haven't paid the $462 yet you might want to talk to me before you do.
please note there are many recruiters and people who work at job placement services on this forum, so you might hear some wonderful things about this place. i wrote asking for a comparison regarding my salary and was rebuked by the recruiter from this place. apparently she is lurking around here somewhere!

Re: teaching jobs mexico. My husband and I signed up with them, had a telephone interview and resigned our posts in Spain expecting to be in Mexico in Aug. 2004. They sent our contracts by courier, asking us to sign them and return them. We read the contracts only to find several discrepancies between what they told us verbally and the actual contract ( paying for uniforms, transportation to school etc.). I tried to get some kind of reassurance from them and at the 11th hour we received an e-mail saying that all positions had been filled....... Fortunately we hadn't booked our flights yet but had gone to the trouble and expense of having our degrees apostilled etc.
As a result we were left scrambling at the last minute to find work, ended up in HCMC, Vietnam!!!!!!
My only advice would be to be VERY careful with this group and read your contract carefully.
We are hoping to try Mexico at the beginning of next year so are following the Mexico forum carefully and appreciate all the good info that's being posted.

Very interesting and disappointing. I thought this was a site specifically for the school listed. Was your impression from the contract that it was via a recruiter?

We were aware that the ad was for a group of schools - Colegio Madison and researched them. All the info sounded good, they have schools in the USA, they have or were trying for IBO status, the interview was quite thorough. It all sounded good, but not as good on paper. I think for them, when I told them that despite their reasurances, if we signed the contracts as they were and they had been untruthful to us verbally, we would have no legal recourse. Perhaps the idea that someone might actually challenge them put them off; but if they were legit, why didn't they rewrite the contracts or add an addendum, why did they leave us hanging??????? I would still like to know the answer to this as we were very enthusiastic about the job.....................

You need to have your degree apostilled to work legally in Mexico anyway, so now you have it done. Didn't you need it to work in Spain?
