Hey guys, I am coming to work in Japan, I graduate in the summer and have chosen to work for saxoncourt/shane as their schools are based in / around Tokyo and thats where I want to work (nova, aeon etc could not gaurentee I would be placed in the Tokyo area!) Basically, I know that they will take care of my apartment etc, but I don't plan on staying with them! So I have researched on the net for Tokyo apartments and they seem to be very expensive most starting at 120,000Yen a moth!! So is a Gaijin house really the best option! the thing is I don't like the idea of sharing facilites like a kitchen and bathroom, is there anyway of getting a cheap apartment in tokyo or is Gaijin houses the way forward!!

Cheers for your help

Start at a gaijin house, they're cheap, from 50,000yen. They're a bit crappy sometimes, but a good place to meet some friends (which is good!) and get on your feet.
