Every school in China I've contacted has requested several items to determine if I'm eligible.
- copy of passport
- recent photo
- references
- copy of diploma/certificates
Are these legitimate items to request? Should I be worried about identity theft? Can this be done with a passport and address only? |

Seems to be a pretty fair and standard request.
It says:
Tell us who you are - and prove it.
Tell us your qualifications - and prove it.
Photos are a standard part of any application process in Asia. |
