pay per lesson you could make a lot or none at all. contract-250,000 but guaranteed.

Depends on the school. As someone who worked very part-time at Berlitz, per lesson was much better for me. You have to look at the branch that they will assign you to and how busy they are for the whole year. Also the number of contract teachers and per lesson teachers at the branch will have an impact, as you will start on the bottom, and even contract people have seniority over you for per lesson hours. I moved up in seniority at my previous job, so per lesson was okay for me, though I also used Berlitz more for filler time as my other jobs got quite busy.

In addition, you might find getting a contract at Berlitz kind of boxes in your options, as you can't take a variety of work, though if you work at a busy school, the pay checks can be good, but it requires a lot of contact time which can be draining.

Definitely go for the contract. Berlitz gives you the opportunity to work untold overtime anyway which can lead to big money (and an early grave).

I know plenty of people starving on a pay-per lesson though.

well i'll tell 'em tomorrow. sure had a good run with the ppl. i guess i have to consider myself lucky. been making too much i guess. security is better and the o.t. i hope will be ok.

Great, lots of part-timers are gagging for a full time position and you should be able to get plenty of OT. Good luck!
