Good day all,

I had an interview with ECC about a week and a half ago and am waiting to hear back from them. They said they were going to take the full 15 days to get back to my hiring session. Is this normal? Also, to get hired at ECC, do you have to do really well throughout the whole interview or just not perform badly? What are some reasons why people don't get hired at ECC?

thanks

You're not going to get answers about what it takes to get hired by ECC unless you make close friends with an ECC recruiter (or one is willing to respond on forums like this one).

Meanwhile, if they said it'll take 15 days, wait the 15 days. Trust me. That's how things are here.

I don't know how much help I can be, but from what I've read on here, one thing's for sure: You have to pass the grammar test. This is a long shot, but perhaps you can try to search the various threads on here from people who've posted on their experiences. Hopefully, that helps Smile

Way back in 1996, before they hired from overseas, I worked for ECC. After a couple of months, one of the hiring crew, who happened to be from my home state so I think that's why he warmed to me Laughing . Told me that people who got hired had that "sparkle" and the people who didn't get hired just didn't sparkle! Since you have to follow their methodology pretty much to the letter (or at least you had to a decade ago) I took that to mean, people people got hired. If you didn't seem like a people person, you didn't get the job.

That makes a lot of sense since I am currently an ECC teacher. Everyone they hire seems to have something interesting about them. It's pretty rare to find someone who is just completly plain.
