I advise anyone thinking of coming to Oman to anticipate major problems.

I do not know whether or not the college where I teach is alone in its mistreatment of the people you recruited. |
Who is 'you'? Is this a copy of something that you wrote to the person that recruited you?

Yes, I think Samigamyi decided that his message contained more detail than it should and cut it down to a general warning.
In summary it seems that some of the new hires for the Ministry positions are having problems.

Why don't you discuss the problem with the Dean before making such a complaint? Almost all people are happy at the college that( mistreated) you. |

I agree with Hazim in, at least one way.
If you are 'in post' then you should follow procedure. Complaining on this site only serves to give the employers here a bad name. Ok, there are some organisations who will take advantage of their employees, just read other posts for details!!!
However, you mention a "Ministry of Education" - which one? Technology? Higher Education? Manpower? more details please, or at least put ina way that it will not be moderated.
As for me, I have worked in a "Ministry" education establishment for a while now, I grant you that the organisation could leave a lot to be desired, but I am there for the students - NOT the people who pay me. It is to them, the young people who need the learning that I will direct my tuitional energies.
As for the "Administration"?? some may say "What administration?" I say, you came to this country to work. Accept it for what it is, if you cannot - don't work here.
