I have already posted in hk forum, but I wanted to surf around and see if there are an others who have had this problem, I have maybe a very limited amount of space left on my passport, and i must commute to china everyday from hong kong,

very little space left, basically , if they cant find any space left to stamp, are they going to detain me? I know if any of the same posters see this mesage they will say the same thing But i just wanna confirm again, because this is another section of the forum and maybe people have gone through this particular situation !

thanks for the time ladies/gents

I seriously doubt it.

It would help to know your nationality.

Americans can go to their nearest embassy and get additional pages

laminated into their passport. It's free and takes about an hour.

I've done it several times. Very Happy

Other nationalities sometimes need to apply for a new passport.

Sorry I can't be more specific than that.

Good luck!

Canadians can also get ten extra pages in the passport for free at the embassy. I got ten pages at the Canadian trade mission in Tapei a few years ago and it only took an hour or so.

Canadians can request a 48-page instead of 24-page passport as well. If you're full, they can void your present one and issue a replacement.

"A few years ago" is the operative term -- me too, but it aint so anymore. Full passport = time to get new passport. Yeh, frequent travellers should note the 48-page option, costs only a bit more.
