hey all...

so, unfortunately, my wife and I are having a very difficult time finding affordable (under 600/month) housing in Seville. we are moving there from madrid in about 2 weeks, (yeah, right around the festival time) and we can't seem to find anything on any of the online places. hopefully, we can book a hostel to stay at for a few days, but we'd really like to have a place lined up for us before we go. and since we'll be there for at least a year, we don't mind signing a renter's contract.

just wanted to see if anyone is moving out of an apt. or would like someone to rent your place for at least the summer months. we're excited about finally teaching, but we don't want to teach homeless. Sad

if any of you have some info or advice for us, it would be greatly appreciated. thanks! Wink

There are lots of hostels around the centre where you can get a decent room (very spartan and sometimes cramped but clean) for 20 euros a night, so it's not like not having a place in Hong Kong where hostels are madly expensive, so you will have time to look around.
There is a Madrid forum page called Multimadrid, ask on there, it's quite popular and they're a pretty helpful lot.... http://spaintalk.multimadrid.org/groupee/forums ...Also you can buy the listings paper "Segundamano" where there are lots of ads, although you may need to speak decent Spanish for some of the landlords. Don't worry though, you will find something, it's a good time of year to look, but you're right about the holiday: from the 13th to the 16th there will not be many people around here at all.
