i arrived to santiago chile in mid feb and had no trouble finding a job. i looked up language schools in the yellow pages and then proceded to visit them. i got hired on my first day out. now, i still haven't heard back from some of the schools, but i did get a response from half of them. i do have tefl certification that i got online, so i think that helped some. if you have any questions for me just post here and i will try to get back asap.

On line certification is just a piece of paper that gives you no advantage in landing a serious job with a serious language school. A good certification should come with extensive academic direction and in class support. Anything else is the easy way out and just about guarantees mediocre teaching. |
