I was wondering if anyone else saw an article in the Tico Times a couple weeks ago concerning tougher enforement of immigration laws in Costa Rica. This centered on individuals working illegally on tourist visas. While the direct focus is not on english teachers, a director of an english lanuage school said she would not hire foregin teachers, only permanent residents and Costa Ricans.
Is anyone worried about the effect this "crackdown" may have on one's ability to teach in Costa Rica?
Thanks

I have had a lot of views, but no replies. If anyone currently working in Costa Rica has any input it is greatly appreciated. Thanks! |
