Sounds like a bunch of bull to me.

Just another way for the ladies to start blackmailing the guys.

Why does it seem to be the goal these days to create paranoia about everything? Now people should worry while talking with someone else? When will it ever stop?

Yes people have sexual relations with one another-- HUGE revelation right? At the university level, perhaps it is against regulations for the teacher and student to have any personal relationship but at that age it takes two to tango anyway, as the saying goes.

So I guess it is still ok for the male teacher to talk to two female students... say on an overnight trip... or something like that.

Sometimes it is necessary to talk to students one on one, or one on two. Here are a few tips from my ex-wife.
>If possible, talk in the hall. The fact that anyone could just turn the corner and come by means that 1) it's not safe for an ill-intentioned teacher to do something wrong, and 2) the openness of the meeting point argues in your favour if any wrongdoing is ever alleged.
>If you're meeting for a prolonged time and want to sit down, make sure you do so near the front of the class, and that the door is wide open. Same thing.
>Maintain physical distance, avoid contact and recoil from any accidental contact the student may initiate.
>Keep your hands on the desk/table, in clear view
>Be lucky, because innocence is no defense against accusation.
