Has anybody worked for ZIAC before?

I went to their interview and they told me that there are three different types of work available. There is ALT work in elementary and junior high schools, BL kids, and the World Academy.

I have a one year visa with them but they say they can get me a three-year visa, which sounds pretty good, but my pay would not be that high. I will get about ten thousand yen a day. I am a bit worried that I won't get very much money in the holidays though if I work in a school.

I have to pay them 10,000 yen membership but if I accept a contract then I will get 50,000 yen from them from the beginning.

What do you guys and girls think?

They are the worst employers in the Kansai area. Their system is also a scam. Do a search on this forum about them.

You have to pay them for "membership"? Definite red flag there. Stay away!

ZIAC can not "get" you a 3 year visa. that decision is made by immigration, not ZIAC.

They are a dispatch company and what they dont tell you is that they keep about 2/3 of your salary paid to them by the client school.

If you have to pay in order to work for them I would run far, far away. They are holding your money and you havent even worked for them and works as a type of bond, so you wont quit.

Im sure they didnt tell you if you quit you will lose any completion bonuses plus the deposit you paid. This is for 'causing trouble' to the company though quitting is legal if you give notice.

I know people who have worked through ZIAC before and I can tell you the company is a scam.

They don't provide you with insurance, or paid holidays and if you miss a day for any reason - if you are sick, there's a typhoon, an earthquake - you won't get paid. They will then deduct each day that you didn't work from your bonus.

Also besides the fact that they pay next to nothing in term time you can't rely on getting work through them during vacations.

Stay away!
