Hi, does anyone have any information regarding insurance for TEFL teachers. I have looked at regular travel insurance but it does not seem to cover my needs. Hope someone can help as I really would not want to travel uncovered.
Cheers

There are policies that specialize in "expat" insurance, meaning roughly the kind of insurance coverage you'd hope to have back home, but planned for international use. I can't remember company names, though. Anybody? Or google it...

Many "expat" type policies are super expensive - but some are reasonable. I've used KW Batten for years (but nowadays you have to be a UK citizen - I got grandfathered I guess).
KW Batten e-mail and info on other policies are at:

I've carried my own insurance for years as I found that most employer insurance was bottom level stuff - didn't cover you while traveling and every time you changed employers things changed. Not good for long term overseas living! |
