not The Gulf News ... 29/03/2006 ... www.gulfnews.com
The ministry of the interior has announced that the partial solar eclipse scheduled for today between 2.30 and 4.30 has been postponed ... sources at the ministry report the decision was taken to reschedule the eclipse for the weekend to avoid any loss to business through the curiosity of employees ...
Not available for comment ... the sun pictured here in happier times

Was anyone out and about around that time. I was in a taxi going down Barbaros and saw three crashes. Its stupid enough looking at the sun with the naked eye, but while driving |

Do you think they'll be able to schedule the earthquake they all seem to think is coming? |

I know someone who actually took the day off work yesterday because of the the obvious relationship between earthquakes and eclipses. He didn't feel that his office was earthquake proof. |

And, presuming he's not self-employed, did he tell his employer of his reason for not coming in? |

yes ... staring vacantly at the sun for half an hour .. at a chair .. at the teacher ... at an empty crisp packet ... sounds a familiar story
... it's such a pity that despite all these outward signs of autism or of quiet creativity .. we are treated to such unexceptional efforts as "you go toilet teacher?" ... |

I really like the ones who sit and write their names over and over, for the entire lesson.
Some of them are getting really good at writing their names.... |

Going back to the original theme ... it has been known for there to be interference with dates over here ... due to indecision and political 'expediency', one country actually ended up celebrating the occasion of the Islamic New Year on three different days ... schools on one day .. banks and other private institutions on another ... and government departments on yet another ...
Any similar tales? |

The Queen of England has two birthdays, which means she's twice as old as she actually is.
Queen's age = x
2x = x
So she is infinitely old.
If the probability of someone dying one year is proportional to their age (the older you get, the more likely it is you will die that year), then she has a 100% chance of dying each year. Theoretically, she should never have been born, but she goddamn well was, I therefore conclude that she is not a human.
In conclusion, it seems, judging from the evidence, therefore, from the evidence that the Sex Pistols were indeed correct.
I think we should be told. |
