For a topic as broad as that, I suggest you start at about.com
esl.about.com/od/englishreadingskills/.
I don't usually teach adjectives as part of reading skills. I would have to guess you teaching at a begining levels.

We might be able to help more if you provided a little more information. What is the age group? How much do they already know? How much vocabulary? What are they trying to read or wanting to read? Anything else you care to share would also be helpful.

hi sorry, i should have provided more details. its an intermediate level. the students are all adults.

i was thinking of introducing a theme such as famous people and have them describe (thus introducing adjectives) someone famous and have the rest of the class try and guess who this person is. and then provide reading material on a famous person (be it fictional or non).

just a bit stuck on activities. will check the site out.

You really need to model using examples of identifiers, describers, categorisers, qualifiers, etc, and the order in which they should be used, eg:
That elderly grey haired man by the door.
Make up lots of little cards from each group [eg, the, my, those, a, one], and get them to correctly mix and match their own noun groups.
Works for me.
