I'm an ESL teacher in a Korean university.
I've got an idea to do classes based on a live video link across different countries (simply through MSN messenger - if you don't know MSN, all you need is just a hotmail a/c + internet connection + webcam + microphone).
The general idea would be for my students to prepare some questions which they could ask your students, and answer questions in return, thus encouraging a real intercultural communication kind of flavor.
Of course, there could be a problem with time differences and everyone's class schedule, as well as access to appropriate technology. Initially, I just want to get a feel of who might be interested.
I just have it in mind for an occasional class. There's a lot of sites on the net about teachers who try to utilize the internet for English learning. But, they are doing very static things, such as essay posting, which in my view, has little more benefit than doing it via paper. To use the internet for live exchange would be much more beneficial. |

Sounds interesting, though I'm not sure about the technical part. As to schedule, would depend on the day. If you'd like, why don't you PM me and I can try and work out the details with you |
