Hi guys,
Just wondering how long it took YOU to get your COE before you came. My application went through the Osaka office. I wanted to go to Europe for 2 weeks before my contract started and fly stright to Japan.
Problem is my contract starts in about a month and my application was submitted a month and a half ago. I'd ask my employer what the status is but have done so already and dont want to pester them.
I just want to know if I'm dreaming in technacolor about going to Europe before my contract starts so I can make plans (tell the people who are bugging me to come if I am coming or not).

| My COE arrived 19 days before I left and my visa was in my passport and in my hand 13 days before I left. From what I've heard from other people, I was lucky. Some people I've spoken to had a week less on both counts. |
