After a recent interview and guessing a job offer with a starting salary of 30,000 (inc. accomodation) for PNET I am thinking.......how the heck can I live there and have a somewhat reasonable existence which would include some entertainment and maybe going to a gym- I have looked at apartment costs- 350-500 sq ft and WOW!! unreal!! food and clothing and transpo- so close to Japan in cost! |

It all depends on where you live. One PNET who is leaving pays $5500 for a village house of 700 -800 sq ft. I live in Mong Kok and pay $8500 for 400sq ft.
I calculate that I pay another $1500 for utilities and transport etc.
What you spend your money on after that is up to you but I think you could have a pretty good social life and join a gym with what you have left.
Of course you have to make provision for tax and not forget about it! |
