Helen Consulting
I see this group advertising again.
For a year and a half I had indirect dealings with these people.
That is to say I picked up the pieces. Poor teachers that got conned, abused and mistreated.
I have specific stories for any one interested.
I read on a recent mail in another group (where criticism of schools or the"old guard" (that is the dozen or so veterans who do not accept any criticisms) is not permitted.
That Helen Consulting was reputable. Ha Ha Ha.
At one time I complained to an agent of this company and he begged me intercede on his behalf because he had not been paid!!!!This was a recruiter based in Canada.
If you want to beleive me - this company is BAD.
If you dont want to beleive me that is also fine.

Recruiters. Endless posts appear from people who have been bitten, but that doesn't stop the next sucker.
I actually found my last job in China through Helen's website. It contains all the contact information necessary to go direct to the school: no need for an intermediary.
So I enjoyed 3 years of good salary and conditions in Shanghai, and it didn't cost me a cent.

There is no "oild guard" going after posters criticising employers such as Helen COnsulting. There is a lot of criticism going round, justified and otherwise.

I am one of those who maintain a reasonable level of scepticism as regards working for a Helen Consulting client.

But this doesn't mean they "con, abuse and maltreat" every FT! In fact, very often FTs themselves are guilty of charges similar to those.
