I have at least one, probably three, private students that I am wanting to pass along to someone. They in Palermo and Vicente Lopez but have been coming to my place in Palermo. I was charging them 15 and 18 pesos per hour, per class but because I knew them. I think they would pay 20 per class, and perhaps come to you if you were close. If anyone wants these students, let me know please.

The only requirement is that you arent an idiot, and that they like you. I imagine all of you have those qualities.

what?!?

everyone is leaving? I havent really paid attention in the last three or four months. But no, I love Argentina and want to stay and after 10 months I am figuring a way to make a living that is slightly more stable (and interesting and rewarding) than teaching English, for me of course.

I guess it makes sense that everyone is leaving, they all came 6-8 months ago, which I think is the usual stay for esl-ers, until the money runs out.

Shouldn't you be asking for some sort of "finders fee" for the amazing opportunity to turn your change of work into a potential "goldmine" or telling us how important you are, and how you don't have time to check e-mails???

I have a deep suspicion of someone who wants to look out for their students who pay fees for classes in between the million other things like school, work, classes...sleep, rather than try to make a little off the top!

I'll let my friend that is arriving next week know about your offer. If possible, please post if the placements are found. Suerte.

thanks for all the responses.

please, everyone who is interested just pass me a number, your name, or an email (however they can contact you). you can include witty comments and stories too, but definitely include some contact info. That is, everyone who already wrote but didnt include that info, please send it to me.

so you guys know the situation: all three are young women. i was charging between 15-18 pesos an hour and they came to my house. this was because they were friends of friends. they were all interested in meeting between 2 and 3 times a week. i dont have a teaching certificate nor do i spend a lot of time preparing. if you guys are good teachers they would be impressed im sure.

im not charging a finders fee because im independently wealthy, the son of "old money" and scorn anyone who hustles for a dollar as "base" and "materialistic" only because i have never wanted for anything in my life. i want to pass along my students to you guys for free for two reasons: so i can look upon you with disdain because you have to work for a living, and so i can claim to "selfless" and "altruistic" when im chatting up idealistic young college students, trying to convince them to have sex with me.

so send me that info if youre interested (if you already sent it, i have it already). im just gonna put together a list and give it to each student for them to call of their own initiative (which may or may not happen) since i dont know you guys and cant make a personal recommendation.

Quilmes lover - incredible avatar.

I actually caught the highlights of that episode of el Noche con Diez the day after it aired a few months ago...While maybe he can't fight any more, who cares - Iron Mike is still world champ in comedy.

I guess on the way to "fading into Bolivian" he went too far South...
