I have come across an employer named Sprott-Shaw International Language College. They posted an ad on the Internet for English Instructors. Can anyone provide me with some info regarding general working conditions, housing, expected pay, etc, etc? No info needed about Oman itself. Should I apply to this company? Are they reputable? Thank you for your reply. Feel free to PM me. |

I replied to this advert and (to date) have had no response.
None of my friends in Oman have heard of them.
A mystery. |

Contrary to what ntropy says, it is a private franchise school that offers courses at the low end of the employment world for outrageous tuition. In Canada, they usually train nursing attendants, pharmacy assistants, basic computer courses and the like. People pay large amounts of money to get dubious certifications that will pay them just above minimum wage. They will teach anything that will make them money. I imagine EFL courses fall into this category in Oman. |
