A friend of mine is looking for a good affordable place to study English in NYC. She is Dominican and speaks English quite well, but says she wants to brush up on grammar etc. She is looking for something that isn't very expensive also. I recommended looking into the community college programs but I don't know much about the private institutes or anywhere I might recommend. Any ideas? (I'd rather not send her off to Zoni if I can help it...) |

Hey Matt. I'm not familiar with the scene in New York, but it may be similar to elsewhere. I've found that generally the private institutes will charge more than language programs at colleges and universities. I'm not sure about the quality specifically there in NYC though. Maybe someone else from New York can provide additional information.
