hello to you,
I'm coming to live and work in cambodia soon, sometime in may and I plan to buy a 250cc bike, if anyone could tell me how much this will cost and any information on where best to look to buy would be greatly appreciated. If you could also advise me on wheather to buy a decent lock in england, or can I get one in pp. Anything else you think may be wise to consider that you can advise me on would also be appreciated, I plan on staying for a year plus, including tavelling around and crossing borders, many thanks, eric

Don't bother carrying a lock across the world, George. You can get everything in PP, especially used bikes. Remember to buy a bike with a high wheel guard, because of the mud. I forget all the names and brands, but I'm sure you know what I mean. It will make life that much easier for you. Cambodia is a superb place for biking. Have you seen Andy Brouwer's website? He's the man for the wheels. You could also ask on khmer440.com.... good luck and happy trails in ...

Cambodia. Try it and see.

thank you for the reply, I haven't seen andy brouwers website but will have a search for it. I spent a month in pp in 2001 and loved it for many of the reasons that you so eloquently described in 'why I love cambodia'. I spent time riding around then, when we went to visit my khmer moto mans family in prey veng so I know what I've got to look forward to, many thanks Khmerhit.
