I think $1650 US is quite a good price for a genuine CELTA. Many schools ask for something like $2500. |

I paid about 1300 Euros for mine, in Germany. About 1000 seemed to be the going rate in Europe at the time. |

er... free. I was unemployed and on benefits at the time and did it part-time at my local Further Education college. The full cost was just over 600 ISTR, around 4/5 years ago. |

For what CELTA is teaching you, almost any price over $300 is too much. I mean CELTA is basically teaching you how to have an aim in class. Well DAH! Of course you gotta have an aim otherwise what the hell are you doing in class?!
Also, CELTA method is so slow and boring that if I were a student I would blow my brains out or better yet the teacher's brain that has been filled with so much CELTA info in such a short time that the only way to access it is to blow the teacher's brain out.
CELTA chews the food and doesn't even put it in the students' mouth, but dumps it right into their stomachs. It has no faith in the student or the teacher.
If you can find a way to teach without CELTA, or if you can take a university program, save you money and do those. |
