I take those adults had English as L1 - L1 acquisition is generally regarded as being a different process than that of gaining L2, and language is naturally acquired during early development long before reading skills have been mastered. Saying that I have also met one teenager who was illiterate, who had learnt English in a non English environment from films and rap records. |

The MF phrase did come up a lot - and the body language..... - love to have seen that guy in one of Roger's pronunciation/grammar classes with all those mother f...ing sonnets and poems  |
