What are the consequences for breaking a teaching contract? How much to most companies withhold from your paycheck?

Depends what's in your contract mate really.
But some do, some don't basically.
Can again depend on the individual companies policy in regards to how much they hold back (those that do that is). |

Sometimes there arent any consequences - especially if you time it right -unless there is a slave deposit ( early leaving penalty ).
Bangkok Christian College is one that takes a total of 20k and holds it over you until you finish the contract. If you leave early you lose the 20k and anything else they might deduct. |
