any general advice on which country to try next?
I spent 1 year in Taiwan which was quite alot more " Western " than I thought it would be.
Just to clarify I did enjoy the Taiwanese culture and was happy with the mix of western influence. |

Yes you are right Taiwan is just like Canada. I often see people shovel rice into their mouths and spit food on the floor. Frankly, I think that you have romantic visions of what Asia should be like. I don't think that just because a country is high tech and modern that makes them Westernized. Or are you the type of person that believes that everything that you grew up with was originated in Western countries. Personally I think that you should just go back home and stay out of Asia all together. Or just leave your romantic visions at home and enjoy what life is really like here.
Or do you think that all of us Asian people just copy everything from the west. How come there isn't a word Asianized or Easternized. Are only good things from your country. |

My impression is that Vietnam is the growing market, and probably already offers the best average monetary rewards, if you're interested in money. However, I don't think that there's much call for English teachers in Vietnam and Cambo outside the bigger towns; if you want to work in the middle of nowhere, you're more likely to find a paying job in your nowhere somewhere in Thailand. |
