Is it true that Berlitz only interview candidates in Japan only?
I live in Canada, so if I want an interview I would have to travel to Japan? |

According to the Berlitz website only part time positions are available, you need a valid work visa. they are not hiring in Canada at the moment
http://careers.berlitz.com/current_job_vacancies.asp
Part-time positions available immediately for instructors currently residing in Japan. Proper work visa required. Currently hiring instructors for positions beginning in April and May.
Start date: April/May 2006
Length of contract: Minimum one year
PS Berlitz would not expect you to fly to Japan for an interview. What if you are not accepted? |

I think you would have to travel to Japan. I was offered an interview position (full-time) with Berlitz after I filled out thei questionairre, and the next step was for me to "interview in Japan," meaning I would have to pay my own way to Japan. and getting there and interviewing was no guarantee of employment either.

You could try emailing the Berlitz teachers union as well. They are the largest foreign teachers union in Japan. Website...

Don't even bother with Berlitz. They don't even deserve the recognition. Can we agree not to even bother with such companies? |
