Hi there,
I live about 20 minutes away from Tsu by train. Mie is very much the countryside of Japan. Imagine many rice fields with developed areas here and there and a whole mess of powerlines everywhere. Don't expect too much and then you'll be pleasantly surprised by the good things you do find. Hope this helps! |

Hi,
Sorry I'm not really able to give you more of a first hand account of Tsu. I've only passed through it on the train. I hear that Tsu is livable and I'm sure you'll have no worries. 50 minutes to Nagoya sounds about right. I really enjoy going to Nagoya, the subway system is a breeze with signs showing all the places to go to. Can I ask you what school you're going to be working for? I know someone who works for Nova in Tsu. The worst of the cold has now past but it's still pretty cold (though not snowing or anything). Still, bring your toque! |

I lived in Mie(near Tsu) for 5 yrs., and it's a fine place as far as I'm concerned. The central location is useful for "playing tourist". I've heard Peppy Kids is a good company to work for AS LONG AS YOU LIKE THE LITTLE TYKES. Cheers |

Hello, I am going to work for Peppy Kids Club in May. I'm going to be living in Okazaki City with my boyfriend. Do you want to get in contact?
