Hi there,

I live about 20 minutes away from Tsu by train. Mie is very much the countryside of Japan. Imagine many rice fields with developed areas here and there and a whole mess of powerlines everywhere. Don't expect too much and then you'll be pleasantly surprised by the good things you do find. Hope this helps!

Hi,

Sorry I'm not really able to give you more of a first hand account of Tsu. I've only passed through it on the train. I hear that Tsu is livable and I'm sure you'll have no worries. 50 minutes to Nagoya sounds about right. I really enjoy going to Nagoya, the subway system is a breeze with signs showing all the places to go to. Can I ask you what school you're going to be working for? I know someone who works for Nova in Tsu. The worst of the cold has now past but it's still pretty cold (though not snowing or anything). Still, bring your toque!

I lived in Mie(near Tsu) for 5 yrs., and it's a fine place as far as I'm concerned. The central location is useful for "playing tourist". I've heard Peppy Kids is a good company to work for AS LONG AS YOU LIKE THE LITTLE TYKES. Cheers

Hello, I am going to work for Peppy Kids Club in May. I'm going to be living in Okazaki City with my boyfriend. Do you want to get in contact?
