I would like to hear from those who applied at Taibah University, but please as mentioned in the title of this thread don't divert from the subject as it happened last year.

Is anyone working there right now?
How's the management like?
Are they still hunting for teachers?
What's the working environment like?

Do I have to call the recruiting guy after sending my resume? Has he ever answered the phone?

Hi,

I just wanted to mention a point that some people may not be aware of.

Taibah University is in Madinah. Whilst it is technically just outside of the Haram area (which is the area that is forbidden for non-Muslims to enter), if you are a non-Muslim and thinking to come work there you have to be aware that EVERYTHING (and I mean everything) is located inside the Haram area. Shops, supermarkets, places to eat etc.

So unless you are planning to break the rule of entering the Haram area (and if a Muslim finds out that you do then trust me they won't be keeping quiet about it) then I think it's pretty much impossible for a non-Muslim to live just outside Madinah.

Just a point that they may not mention when you are speaking to them.

Thank you Turando for the clarification.

Any input from others?
