|
|
I have sent CV's (resumes) to almost all of the job postings on Ajarn and Dave's but have not received any offers yet. I am wondering if the schools in Taiwan only respond to teachers who are already on the island.
Also I suspect that the fact that I do not have a BA may have something to do with the fact that I am not contacted. As this seems to be the prerequistite for teaching in Taiwan does can anyone tell me what they think about the controversy surrounding the issue of a BA validating ones credibility to being a proper teacher. I have been teaching in Hungary for the past 3 years and have been very successful without a BA. In fact I was also asked to work on a University project to develop Hungary's first online school program as well as creating and hosting Hungary's first interactive English learning radio program.
I am sorry that it seems that there are 2 topics on this thread but I am so confused about both and really don't both go hand in hand.
Any comments/replies would be greatly appreciated. |

Again, Ajarn is a English teaching website in Thailand, not Taiwan.
You seem to have a great position where you are. You are unlikely to attain anything like that in Taiwan without a degree. I think to get the kind of jobs you have in Hungary you would also need fluent Chinese. |

True I have had great times in Hungary however due to the build up of the recent elections (and the results this past weekend) it is time to move on.
Again you are right Ajarn is a site for teaching in Thailand, it is my wife who is investigating that possibility and I apologize for my mistake. For all other viewers please note that Taiwan jobs are NOT posted within Ajarn. |
