Shocked I'm looking to jump ship from Interac (tired of getting paid late). Other than The Japan Times, can anywhere direct me to other resources? I'm in Kyushu now and I haven't been able to find much down here.

homer,

Try this link.

There really aren't many job sites for your area. If you want sites in general, I'd recommend the following:

www.ohayosensei.com
www.eltnews.com
www.jobsinjapan.com
www.gaijinpot.com
http://www.teaching-english-in-japan.net/

Thanks Glenski.
It is a bit tough to find stuff down here. JET has most of the ALT jobs wrapped up, but I'll keep looking.

It's disturbing to know that Interac is the same beast that it was three years ago. The same beast but now bigger.

Is this being 'paid late' as in being paid for January at the end of February, or is it being 'paid late' as being paid for January in March, or something like that?

Willy, you're making it sound reasonable that AETS are made to work two months for a single paycheck, and don't get their first month's wages until they hand in their notice (perhaps because they're getting desperate to see that money and finally be able to e.g. pay off debts or buy something they've been putting off all year) - I mean, it's not like the AETs are getting paid that much once the company has taken its cut.

This sort of company really should put their teachers first and pay them their due after the first month. I know that I myself won't ever again be working for anyone who expects me to beg for subsistence advances or for them to please pay my looming rent pronto. Some weeks I wondered which I should do, take a day off so I could get more food with the transportation fees saved, or work but go a bit hungry cos it would be more money "in the bank" (well, their bank initially, at any rate).
