When I first got here, my heater/air conditioner was fine but in the last few cold days, I don't know if my heater/air conditioner died or if I foolishly switched it onto an option that I don't understand.

According to the "key" that my landlord gave me, I can find out what most of the kanji means but this is an option I don't understand.

???????

That's Option 3 under the two 'timer' options. Can anyone shed any light on this? I would just like to make sure my air conditioner is working before summer arrives.

Ask someone at your school to tell you what the kanji / settings mean. I'm sure they'd be happy to help you.

I just realised the hiragana and katakana didn't show up in my post. Grrr!!

It says:

sa wa ya ka se-bu (se-bu being in katakana).

I think it's fair to say that it's broken then. I'm getting nothing from all 4 options.

I just took the remote to my school and had someone translate it and out small English labels on it.
