You can see the sense in it, right?

I can't though. How can someone with an MBA, and a M.Sc, B.Sc. plus PGDE in primary ed. be told that they are not qualified to teach kindergarten children?

I guess they think you're over qualified for this position. They rather hire a person with lower quailities, but who would feel satisfy and work for long term.

Ah, well, you're missing the QKT (Qualified Kindergarten Teacher), so clearly you are not well-qualified! Wink

Truly frustrating!

Its not just HK either, a few months ago I was told I was unqualified by EF English First - Apparently I needed to complete their certificate to be a qualified teacher.

Puzzling as I have six years full time teaching experience, a PGCE, DipTESOL and also hold recognised teacher status with the university of Glamorgan!

Again, I share your pain!
