Read carefully. The search facility, at the top of the page, when "Buckland" is entered, will give you enough information to keep you busy. |

Buckland seems to have enjoyed a relatively good reputation under its original owners. It was sold to new owners a few years back. Read very carefully.

There are TWO BUckland schools based in Yangshuo; one was founded by a Hunan native and owned by him until several years ago when he sold it to a Nanning-based business entity who continue using the same name; the other is the NEW Buckland founded by the same original Buckland owner who has turned it into a franchise company that hires teachers for loan to his franchise partners throughout China.
His brother runs Omeida training centre in Yangshuo.
You would probably fare best with the founder of the two BUckland schools, not the new buyer of the first one. |

I recently received a letter from a young woman in distress who had been placed in a position by Buckland. I don't have all the details, but she said she'd come here on their advice on a tourist visa for a job at one school, but was then shipped off to another job in another city. Buckland has apparently been promising to sort out her Z visa and working papers but it's been three months and nothing so far. That's all I know. |
