Anyone know where I canbuy the Chinese box sets of television series in Hong Kong? They have them all over the Philippines and Thailand. I am coming to Hong Kong next week and would like to try to find some BBC series. I know a few people who found them but couldn't tell me where they bought them at. |

Do you mean pirated Chinese videos or with Chinese subtitles? Do you mean Hong Kong Chinese licensed or mainland Chinese licensed?
You can easily buy official boxed sets of BBC series at many places including HMV in Sands Building off Nathan Road, for example. They are not that expensive - especially if you catch a store in sale season. To find the pirated versions, it's not so common. I guess you need to stumble upon the appropriate street dealer.
Do you also know that there are some BBC series available for free download at youtube.com? Perhaps worth checking there first.
If you're wanting Korean TV series re-packaged by Chinese video distributers, then that's a different issue. You can buy DVD boxed sets of all the K-dramas at very cheap prices here... |
