I completed a TEFL certificate course with Via Lingua in Corinth during March / April of this year. I found the course, trainers, materials and teaching practice all excellent. I wanted to teach EFL during the Summer in Dublin ( my ultimate aim is to teach in Greece from September) but I discovered the TEFL industry is highly regulated in Ireland. I submitted my course content and syllabus to the Advisory Council for English Language Schools (ACELS) in Ireland, a body that regulates TEFL on behalf of the Department of Education. I received a letter from ACELS stating that the course met the criteria. I subsequently got a job teaching foreign students in a Summer school in Dublin. This posting gives some information for anyone wanting to teach in an Irish TEFL school.
