Due to my new job assignment, I moved from Hochiminh City a couple of days ago.
During my time in Saigon (for almost 02 years), I stayed in one apartment, which I like very much. This is 54-sqm apartment and is totally furnished (Cable TV, Washing machine, Air-conditioner, Hot-Water, Furniture). This apartment is located in very quiet area, from which you can easily access to Dist.01 & 03, Binh Thanh, Phu Nhuan
In addition, the landlord is very nice and helpful to the tenant. It is really hard for me to leave such a place and nice landlord.
If someone is interested in it, please contact [email protected] for further information. |

Dear Snaff,
What red flag does supercanon's post raise?
What problems in renting an apartment have you had? |

The landlord speaks English very well, so there is no problem on misunderstanding and/or communication between the landlord and the tenant.
In addition, he helped me settle all the monthly bills such as phone, electricity, water...Moreover, he gave me some advices for eating, buying things at cheap price...He has the correct behaviour with foreigners... Whenever there was someting wrong with the apartment, he quickly came to fix it.
In one word, it will be very hard for me to find such a kind tenant again. |

Ha ha ha. This is hilarious. Even better than the ads schools sometimes place for teachers which are actually marketing ploys to make students think the place is super successful, e.g.:"Due to our recent success and the remarkable growth due to our excellent quality and the celestial happiness of our students, and the fact we are the Most Popular School in the Country with those who know anything, and because we are becoming exclusive and growing because the smartest, best looking students study here, we are looking for teachers."
Vietnamese Marketing...so subtle. It's either a blatant lie...or too much the truth, as with the old lady at the market who screams in Vietnamese at all passing foreigners "BUY SOMETHING NOW FOREIGNER!" |

I agree 100%, Lex.
There are many, many, obvious signs in that post. |

It doesn't do any good for people to list the negative things that have happened.
The best thing to do when looking for a place is to ask for references and get info. from people who've lived (or are living) where you want to live.
It's all about qualifying.

Give the chap some credit for ingenuity, sheesh. His English is obviusly not bad, either, assuming they are one and the same person. |
