Zagreb & a few of the more touristy costal towns have limited opps for English teaching. Cost of living and pay both quite low. Standard of living: probably below most of Central European. Meaning: housing is likely to be very basic, going out into areas that tourists frequent is relatively quite pricey, currency does not translate into out-of-country travel. Public transport also extremely basic in most places.
Pros: beautiful clean seas, very nice, hospitable people - you need to speak some recognizable language (I got by with a Croat dictionary and functional Czech) to do daily business.
