Hi guys you probably already seen this. but i think it would be a good idea to rate you experiance against it. I think it gives a good idea of what life is like in china for people who havent been yet.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d5f0bQYafT4&search=teaching%20china

So I propose You compare it with your experiances all things being equal.

If we use a scale of 1 - 10 and this School gets a score of 5 for all topics. a score of 10 being much much better than this and 1 being much much worse

Feel free to add topicsand comments Smile and ave fun

Wake up time - 5
Room Mate - 5
Bus Driver - 5
Journey to school - 5
General School look - 5
Students up for a joke - 5
Students Englis Level! - 5
Toilets - 5
Teachers Room - 5
Accomidation - 5
Street Food - 5

ok from the poll and the replies it is fair to say that the conditions of this school (besides money as we dont know what he gets) are average to above average.

so if teachers feel that their conditions are significantly worse than these, their complaints maybe legit and should be entertained here. this way they can gage there expectations/experiances against the average reality and everyone know whats fair. Maybe if everyone took look at this before complaining about there job... hmmm would complaints increase or decrease??

Yeah, I saw this video a few weeks ago; it's probably the best one I've seen of China.

Does that guy have a lisp?

I'd love to know how long he has been in China. He seems like the kind of guy who would be a successful FT. However, he may have only been there a few months and still super-hyped. I'd like to see a video made by a guy like William Wallace who has seen it all.

Actually, this is one of the best polls I've ever seen. I'd go so far as to say anyone who criticizes it is an absolute idiot. It gives a first-hand view of life in China and gives us all something to compare our experience with. Personally, I thank the man who created it and John101 for posting it.

Anyone know how to get different clips and stitch them together?

Everyone on here with a video camera could do one...

Very good vid; the guy was having a great time, I noticed however his buddy on the bus was not so happy---he's probably been there longer.

Thought the bus driver did a good job, not bad pron.

Maybe the guy on the bus was so unhappy because he wasn't some sort of weirdo who was happy getting up so damn early!

Hi Saint57,

I have been wanting to ask you about that photo on your profile... it's not you is it? The face looks familiar.

A bit like that American Writer/Philospher/Actor.... darn... memory blank. He had a significant role in the movie GATTACA.

Anyways. I watched that Day in China film and then GOOGLED him and the other guy on the bus.

The videographer is a young guy from the USA. It seems he's been in China for a semester and a half.

Interesting guy.

See the URLs.

As long as people don't preach their personal religion to the Chinese they can have whatever views they like.

Ciao.
