|

I have a job offer from school A. They sent me documents with which to obtain a z visa. Since those documents arrived however, they causually mentioned that the new schedule begins in November instead of September. I am looking for a new school in response, since I am currently in limbo, having planned to go to China in September. Of course now I have less time to go through the whole process.
My question: Would I be able to use the visa I obtained through school A's offer to enter the country, and still get the residence and work permits for school B? Appreciate any advice. |

Of course, NOT!
Your work visa is employer-specific, and more than that: locality-specific.
What reasons did they supply for their abnormally-late commencement of the school year?
Everywhere else it is first of September! |

It's a university. The foreign teacher coordinators said that they had just been informed by the govt that the freshman class would report (late) in October but would not be available until November due to military training or physical education, depending on which email I read. I tried to be flexible about the situation, but I don't want to (and can't afford to) wait that long. |
