Hello all,

I'm currently in Taipei, Taiwan but am looking to teach in Japan come late August. The thing is, I'm hoping to find a chain that teaches strictly adults. I understand most of the biggies (NOVA, GEOS, Berlitz) do mostly adults, but not all. Does an adults-only language chain exist in Japan?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Your best bet is looking into teaching business classes. All the other chains mainly teach adults, however, they might try to push that you have to teach some kid's classes. A better attitude my be trying to come here with an open mind about teaching more than adults.

Agreed. You'll be really limiting yourself if you're not wanting to teach children. It can be done of course, but when you start working in Japan you may not be in the position to be overly choosy until you get some experience and get you're feet on the ground. Moreover, you may join a school or company that currently doesn't teach kids, but what's to say they won't start. Afterall, kids teaching is where the money is.
