Hello, I am interested in studying Chinese language, both written and spoken. I currently do speak Mandarin but not on a technical level. Is there a recommendation out there? |

I'm not sure about any schools which are suitable. Most of us on here are simply teachers and know only a little about foreign studies. When chosing a school you should think about what you want to learn. Do you want to do a full blown degree or some form of profficiency test?
There exists an exam called HSK, it is similar to that of TOEFL or IELTS only that it is for Chinese. Infact it is designed as a Chinese as a second language exam aimed at foreigners. I myself am trying to take this course and exam, but I am the only person in my city with any interest. My local UNI have offered to provide me with a teacher (as an extra job to his/her uni contract) and offered to help with the paperwork for taking the exam. But they cannot set up the course for me.
I do not have time right now to provide any further info or links but you could search the web. I remember there being a website dedicated to this exam which also provided sample questions and audio material. |
