I'd like to ship some personal belongings from Asia to Salalah, Oman, but the companies I've contacted say they ship only to Muscat.
Is there anyone reading this who's had stuff shipped to Salalah (or elsewhere in the Sultanate, perhaps, such as Sur or Ibri or Shinas, or anywhere that's required onward shipment from the capital area), and can suggest how I can move my belongings? Are there haulage companies who can do this, and if so, how much should one be paying? (I'll have maybe 3 or 4 cubic metres.)
Advice appreciated. |

so true, they only ship things to Muscat, but then they are couriered to where you live. I had a good experience having things shipped to me, so I shouldn't worry to much about it. It gets delivered to your address. |

Maugaurina, thank you.
My proposed shipment involves books, household items, etc. There might be 100 kg (3-4 cubic metres), I don't know, which would arrive by sea. I'm not sure whether my o.p. was quite clear enough.
By "courier", do you mean a firm like DHL? I wasn't aware that they dealt with shipments like mine would be. I've used them many times, but only for small items. Could you clarify, please? |
