Greetings,
I've recently accepted a position as a conversational English instructor with Nova, and will be leaving for Japan in September. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions regarding international medical insurance. Thus far, all I've been able to find is emergency insurance and was hoping to get something more comprehensive. Also, it seems all of the companies I saw (excepting STA) ask that they be contacted before one is admitted to a hospital, or else coverage is reduced by at least 50%! So if you please, your combined input could prove invaluable. Thanks. |

If you plan to stay only a year, get on national health insurance. You'll pay only 2500 yen per month.
Otherwise, look at www.gaijinpot.com and check out the places they advertise on their health page. |
