Hello
I've checked the other threads but found nothing. Does anybody have any information on this place? |

Nice place. Serious students, but affable. Pleasant faculty. |

I was recently offered a job there but turned it down. The reason was purely and simply because the salary they offered was less than one could expect to make in there first year of teaching in a country like South Korea or Japan.
I've taught for three years at tertiary level, and twice that in general, but according to the way the hiring staff calculate experience, I have no experience.
I just didn't think that was fair so decided not to take the job.
Good luck!
P.S. If you do a search using the university's name, you will find other comments about it. |

I just noticed on the job board that King Abdulazziz University is still advertising for September 2006. Does anyone know if they are having trouble finding or keeping staff? I applied a few months ago but I never heard from them. In the meantime, I accepted a position in KSA but I still have not recieved the visa number which I need to get the visa. Should I apply again to KAA? I also have an interview this week for another school in KSA. Would it be wise to accept this job if offered and then in the end take the job which comes through with the visa number first? |
